For more than a century Protestant Religions have been indoctrinating their followers to recognize Babylon the Harlot as the Catholic Church. Recently, due to the latest events taking place around the world, some of these religions and cults have adjusted their teachings and are now telling their followers that the biblical prostitute is Islam. But, have they been telling us the truth?

Neither the Roman Catholic nor the Islamic religion existed by the time the Bible was written. The Catholic Religion did not come into existence until after the year 350 A.C., and the Islamic religion was not officially born until 632 A.C. after the death of Muhammad. It is for that reason that you will never find any clear direct reference of them in the Bible. Even when the Bible clearly states who the spiritual prostitute is, many protestant religions insist in using personal interpretations to tell their followers that the biblical prostitute represents one of these two religions.

Let us investigate who this evil biblical entity really is according to the Scriptures.

Babylon the Harlot or Prostitute in the Old testament

See how the faithful city has become a harlot! She once was full of justice; righteousness used to dwell in her— but now murderers!” (Isaiah 1:21 niv 1984)

Do not rejoice, O Israel; do not be jubilant like the other nations. For you have been unfaithful to your God; you love the wages of a prostitute at every threshing floor. (Hosea 9:1)

Long ago you broke off your yoke and tore off your bonds; you said, ‘I will not serve you!’ Indeed, on every high hill and under every spreading tree you lay down as a prostitute.”  (Jeremiah 2:20)

But you trusted in your beauty and used your fame to become a prostitute. You lavished your favors on anyone who passed by and your beauty became his.” (Ezekiel 16:15)

All her idols will be broken to pieces; all her temple gifts will be burned with fire; I will destroy all her images. Since she gathered her gifts from the wages of prostitutes, as the wages of prostitutes they will again be used.” (Micah 1:7)

Israel engaging in prostitution with the Egyptians, Assyrians, Babylonians and anyone who passed by:

You engaged in prostitution with the Egyptians, your lustful neighbors, and provoked me to anger with your increasing promiscuity.” (Ezekiel 16:15)

You engaged in prostitution with the Assyrians too, because you were insatiable; and even after that, you still were not satisfied.” (Ezekiel 16:28)

Then you increased your promiscuity to include Babylonia, a land of merchants, but even with this you were not satisfied.” (Ezekiel 16:29)

At the head of every street you built your lofty shrines and degraded your beauty, offering your body with increasing promiscuity to anyone who passed by.” (Ezekiel 16:25)

God describes Israel as a brazen prostitute. Unlike any other prostitute, Israel would not charge a fee but would pay others who engage in spiritual promiscuity with her.

“‘How weak-willed you are, declares the Sovereign Lord, when you do all these things, acting like a brazen prostitute! When you built your mounds at the head of every street and made your lofty shrines in every public square, you were unlike a prostitute, because you scorned payment. “‘You adulterous wife! You prefer strangers to your own husband! Every prostitute receives a fee, but you give gifts to all your lovers, bribing them to come to you from everywhere for your illicit favors. So in your prostitution you are the opposite of others; no one runs after you for your favors. You are the very opposite, for you give payment and none is given to you.

“‘Therefore, you prostitute, hear the word of the Lord! This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because you poured out your wealth and exposed your nakedness in your promiscuity with your lovers, and because of all your detestable idols, and because you gave them your children’s blood, therefore I am going to gather all your lovers, with whom you found pleasure, those you loved as well as those you hated. I will gather them against you from all around and will strip you in front of them, and they will see all your nakedness.” (Ezekiel 16:30-37)

Observe how God describes Israel as a woman dressing herself in scarlet, adorning her body with Jewels of Gold. Compare this prostitute to the one from Revelations 17.

What are you doing, O devastated one? Why dress yourself in scarlet and put on jewels of gold? Why shade your eyes with paint? You adorn yourself in vain. Your lovers despise you; they seek your life.” (Jeremiah 4:30)

Compare Jeremiah 4:30 to Revelations 17:4-5 (niv 1984)

Now that we have identified Babylon the Great and mother of prostitutes, we could conclude saying that the rest of the religions, including Catholic Rome, and the nations (waters) are the daughters of this Harlot (prostitute).

Then the angel said to me, “The waters you saw, where the prostitute sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations and languages. (Revelations 17:15)

According to Revelations, Babylon the Great and mother of all prostitutes will be surrounded and destroyed at the end. The beast will come out of the nations where the prostitute sits. This last beast could be nothing else than the New World Order currently rising, and according to the book of Revelations this beast will soon hate the prostitute and destroy it.

The beast and the ten horns you saw will hate the prostitute. They will bring her to ruin and leave her naked; they will eat her flesh and burn her with fire. For God has put it into their hearts to accomplish his purpose by agreeing to give the beast their power to rule, until God’s words are fulfilled.” (Revelations 17:16-17)

God warned this would happened to the prostitute back in Ezekiel 16:35-42. Read and compare to Revelations 14:16-17

Therefore, you prostitute, hear the word of the Lord! This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because you poured out your wealth and exposed your nakedness in your promiscuity with your lovers, and because of all your detestable idols, and because you gave them your children’s blood, therefore I am going to gather all your lovers, with whom you found pleasure, those you loved as well as those you hated. I will gather them against you from all around and will strip you in front of them, and they will see all your nakedness. I will sentence you to the punishment of women who commit adultery and who shed blood; I will bring upon you the blood vengeance of my wrath and jealous anger. Then I will hand you over to your lovers, and they will tear down your mounds and destroy your lofty shrines. They will strip you of your clothes and take your fine jewelry and leave you naked and bare.“  (Ezekiel 16:35-42)

If you still have doubt about who this woman (Babylon the Prostitute) is, then read the next three verses. They not only describe her as “the great city” but also mention where this great city is located.

The woman you saw is the great city that rules over the kings of the earth.” (Revelations 17:16-18) 

‘Woe! Woe, O great city, where all who had ships on the sea became rich through her wealth! In one hour she has been brought to ruin!” (Revelations 18:9)

Their bodies will lie in the street of the great city, which is figuratively called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified. For three and a half days men from every people, tribe, language and nation will gaze on their bodies and refuse them burial. (Revelations 11:9) Emphasis added

Babylon the prostitute (the great city) is destroyed and blamed for the blood of the prophets and the saints and all who have been murdered on Earth. Compare (Rev 18:24) to the words of Jesus when He identifies them as those who kill the prophets and stone those who are sent  to her (Matthew 23:37-39). Now, how would that prostitute that killed the prophets could be the Catholic Church or the Islam when they weren’t even around yet?

In her was found the blood of prophets and of the saints, and of all who have been killed on the earth.” (Rev 18:24)

I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the saints, the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus.” (Revelations 17:6)

Babylon the Harlot in the New Testament

Jesus said in Luke 11:47-51 that they will be held responsible for all the murders since the beginning of the world.

Woe to you, because you build tombs for the prophets, and it was your forefathers who killed them. So you testify that you approve of what your forefathers did; they killed the prophets, and you build their tombs. Because of this, God in his wisdom said, ‘I will send them prophets and apostles, some of whom they will kill and others they will persecute.’ Therefore this generation will be held responsible for the blood of all the prophets that has been shed since the beginning of the world, from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who was killed between the altar and the sanctuary. Yes, I tell you, this generation will be held responsible for it all.” (Luke 11:47-51)

“Therefore, indeed, I send you prophets, wise men, and scribes: some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from city to city that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. Assuredly, I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation. O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing. Look, your house is left to you desolate. For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.’ (Matthew 23:37-39)

Jesus called them “Children of the Devil”, “snakes! and brood of vipers!”

You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. Yet because I tell the truth,you do not believe me! Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don’t you believe me? He who belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God.” (John 8:44-47) Emphasis added

“You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell? (Matthew 23:33) Emphasis added

The Beast (New World Order) coming out of the Nations

“Then the angel said to me: “Why are you astonished? I will explain to you the mystery of the woman and of the beast she rides, which has the seven heads and ten horns. The beast, which you saw, once was, now is not, and will come up out of the Abyss and go to his destruction. The inhabitants of the earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the creation of the world will be astonished when they see the beast, because he once was, now is not, and yet will come. (Rev 17:7-8)

According to Revelations 17:7-8, this beast existed before but by the time the Apostle John wrote revelations the beast had already been destroyed or wounded long time ago. How could be possible that this beast would be the Roman Catholic Church or the Islam when none of them existed before the Apostle John? Who is the beast then? Remember Nimrod and his (New World Order) in Babel? Let us review the story:

The Palace of Peace and Reconciliation is a Masonic Pyramid located in the city of Astana Kazakhstan. THE ORACLE OF DELPHI

The Ancient Oracle of Delphi

The Oracle of Delphi was one of the most important sites to worship the god Apollo in the Greek classical world. The town of Delphi was located in the valley of Phocis southwest of Mount Parnassus. Other important oracles of Greek antiquity were the oracle of Dione and Zeus at Dodona in Epirus but only the Delphic Oracle was a female; all others were males.

According to Historian Michael Attyah Flower, Oracles were thought to be portals through which the gods spoke directly to people.

I do not expect to live long. My work is nearly done. Tell our young people that I want my words to encourage them in that manner of life that will be most attractive to the heavenly intelligences, and that their influence upon others may be most enobling.”

From all of the EGW divine revelations, one of the most interesting ones is when she had contact with her dead husband to whom she calls “father”. In the following quotes she describes the dream with an impresive amount of details. Let’s not forget that SDA’s accept EGW’s visions and dreams as “divine revelation”.

A few days since, I was pleading with the Lord for light in regard to my duty. In the night I dreamed I was in the carriage, driving, sitting at the right hand. Father was in the carriage, seated at my left hand. He was very pale, but calm and composed. “Why Father,” I exclaimed, “I am so happy to have you by my side once more! I have felt that half of me was gone. Father, I saw you die; I saw you buried. The dream goes on to the point where she (EGW) receives counseling and instruction from her dead husband “James White”:

Now, Ellen, calls will be made as they have been, desiring you to attend important meetings, as has been the case in the past. But lay this matter before God and make no response to the most earnest invitations. Your life hangs as it were upon a thread. You must have quiet rest, freedom from all excitement and from all disagreeable cares. We might have done a great deal for years with our pens, on subjects the people need that we have had light upon and can present before them, which others do not have. Thus you can work when your strength returns, as it will, and you can do far more with your pen than with your voice.” He looked at me appealingly and said, “You will not neglect these cautions, will you, Ellen? Our people will never know under what infirmities we have labored to serve them because our lives were interwoven with the progress of the work, but God knows it all. I regret that I have felt so deeply and labored unreasonably in emergencies, regardless of the laws of life and health. The Lord did not require us to carry so heavy burdens and many of our brethren so few. We ought to have gone to the Pacific Coast before, and devoted our time and energies to writing. Will you do this now? Will you, as your strength returns, take your pen and write out these things we have so long anticipated, and make haste slowly? There is important matter which the people need. Joseph Smith Translates the Book of Mormon by Looking into his Hat

The Oracle of Joseph Smith

Latter Day Saints Prophet (Mormons) and founder, Joseph Smith, teaches that Jesus Christ was an angel and brother of Lucifer:

We needed a Savior to pay for our sins and teach us how to return to our Heavenly Father. Our Father said, “Whom shall I send?” (Abraham 3:27).

Two of our brothers offered to help. Our oldest brother, Jesus Christ, who was then called Jehovah, said, “Here am I, send me” (Abraham 3:27).

Jesus was willing to come to the earth, give his life for us, and take upon himself our sins. He, like our Heavenly Father, wanted us to choose whether we would obey Heavenly Father’s commandments. He knew we must be free to choose in order to prove ourselves worthy of exaltation. Jesus said, “Father, thy will be done, and the glory be thine forever” (Moses 4:2).

Satan, who was called Lucifer, also came, saying, “Behold, here am I, send me, I will be thy son, and I will redeem all mankind, that one soul shall not be lost, and surely I will do it; wherefore give me thine honor” (Moses 4:1).

Satan wanted to force us all to do his will. Under his plan, we would not be allowed to choose. He would take away the freedom of choice that our Father had given us. Satan wanted to have all the honor for our salvation. After hearing both sons speak, Heavenly Father said, “I will send the first” (Abraham 3:27)

According to the Later Day Saints, Lucifer was not pleased with having his plan rejected. He rebelled, and a third of our spirit brothers and sisters rebelled with him:

Because our Heavenly Father chose Jesus Christ to be our Savior, Satan became angry and rebelled. There was war in heaven. Satan and his followers fought against Jesus and his followers.

In this great rebellion, Satan and all the spirits who followed him were sent away from the presence of God and cast down from heaven. One-third of the spirits in heaven were punished for following Satan: they were denied the right to receive mortal bodies. (Gospel Principles, 1997 ed., pp. 17-18)

Later Day Saints (Mormons) teach that God was man like us:

I am going to tell you how God came to be God. We have imagined and supposed that God was God from all eternity. I will refute that idea, and take away the veil, so that you may see. … It is the first principle of the Gospel to know for a certainty the character of God and to know…that he was once a man like us…. (“King Follett Discourse,” Journal of Discourses 6:3-4, also in Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, 345-346, and History of the Church, vol. 6, 305-307) emphasis added

Mormons deny God by teaching that man is God:

It is a ‘Mormon’ truism that is current among us and we all accept it, that as man is God once was and as God is man may become.” (Melvin J. Ballard – Mormon Apostle General Conf. address, April 6, 1921)

THE WATCHTOWER ORACLE

The Oracle of Charles T. Russel and the Watchtower

Another disastrous cult is the Watchtower or better know as Jehovah Witnesses. The Watchtower was founded by a former Seventh-Day Adventist called Charles T. Russel.

The Watchtower Bible, or Jehovah’s Witnesses, has always taught that Jesus Christ was no more than a perfect man, “not the supreme God Almighty in the flesh.”

Just like the Seventh-Day Adventists, Jehovah Witness believe that Jesus was Michael the Archangel. Consistent with their denial of the deity of Christ, the Jehovah’s Witnesses also forbid their followers to worship Christ denying the very foundation of the historic Christian faith.

…the Son of God was known as Michael before he came to earth” (Reasoning from the Scriptures, p. 218).

Jehovah’s Witnesses deny the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ. Instead they teach that Jesus Christ is dead. Charles Taze Russell, founder of the organization taught:

The man Jesus is dead, forever dead” (Studies in the Scriptures, Vol. 5, 1899, p. 454). 

Conclusion

If you claim to be a Jesus Christ believer but at the same time you have been consulting one of these oracles in honest ignorance, then you need to wake up and come out of spiritual prostitution. Stop following men. The religious system of the world has become a spiritual harlot and God’s judgment is about to come upon them.

Do not let these religious charlatans convince you with their lies and delusions. Throw their Gnostic writings away. All they want is to gain your support and take your eyes away from the only truth which is Jesus Christ the Son of God. Remember, true Christians are free from spiritual captivity.

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” (Galatians 5:1)

Warnings against this kind of Apostasy:

• (Colossians 2:8-10) ”See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ. For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority.”
• (2 Peter 2:3) ”But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them, bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.”
• (Colossians 2:18-19) “Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you for the prize. Such a person goes into great detail about what he has seen, and his unspiritual mind puffs him up with idle notions. He has lost connection with the Head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow.”

Obelisks are phallic symbols related to the Ancient Egyptian Sun god, Ra. One of the most known obelisk is the Washington Monument. The structure has four sides perfectly aligned with the cardinal directions (east, west, north, and south). At the ground level each side of the monument measures 55.5 feet wide, which is 666 inches. The height of the obelisk is 555.5 feet, which is 6,666 inches. The stone pillar made of marble is both the world’s tallest stone structure and the world’s tallest obelisk.

Historian Michael Bradley expands about this monument in his book Secrets of the Freemasons:

“The Washington Monument, which lies directly west of the Capitol, is an obelisk, a tall, four-sided stone pillar tapering toward a pyramidal top. Some people believe that this is the most significant occult symbol of all. Most people are aware that an obelisk is Egyptian in origin, but few know the story behind it, and fewer still that it is and important Masonic symbol. In fact, the four obelisks which sit in four major Western cities, Paris, London, New York, and Washington, D.C., were erected specifically because of the efforts of, and large sums of money donated by, prominent and powerful nineteenth century Freemasons.” (Michael Bradley Ph.D, Secrets of the Freemasons, ch. 8, p. 163, 2006)

The Holman Illustrated Bible Dictionary defines an Obelisk:

“Stone Pillar used in worship, especially of the Egyptian sun god Amun-Re. Foursided and made from one stone, obelisks tapered to the top, where a pyramid rested. They apparently symbolized the rays of the rising sun and the hope of the pharaoh for rejuvenation and new vitality. At times they were used in tombs to represent hope for resurrection. A 4,000 year-old obelisk still stands in modern Matariyeh, ancient On. Another has been transplanted to Central Park in New York City. Many obelisks were built from about 1550 to about 1100 B.C. Some were more than 100 feet tall. The Hebrew term translated “obelisks” at Jeremiah 43:13 (NASB, NRSV, RSV) means pillar or standing stone (“sacred pillars,” NIV, REB) The Egyptian context suggests the pillars were in fact obelisks, perhaps dedicated to the sun-god Re”. In the following picture observe how they have placed obelisks in all of these temples, either in front, inside or on top of the platform and sometimes on the roof. The occult purpose of this is to make you stand, pray and worship in front of an image. It is worth to mention that even thou these images are so visible, for some strange reason most of the members of these religions or cults are totally unaware of their presence. In other words, they can’t see them.

OBELISKS PLACED INSIDE AND AROUND TEMPLES

This practice has been condemned by God since biblical times. One of many examples is in the book of Exodus:

“You shall have no other gods before me.  You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments”.  Exodus 20:3-6 (NIV)

The Bible calls the temple were they used to keep this pillars “House of Baal“. The Amplified version of the Bible reads:

They brought out the pillars or obelisks of the house of Baal and burned them. They broke down the pillars of Baal and the house of Baal, and made it [forever unclean] a privy to this day”.  (2 Kings 10:26-27 Amplified Bible)

Masonic Meaning of the Obelisk

According to Albert Pike, Grand Commander of the Supreme Council of Charleston (head of American Masonry), and Sovereign Pontiff of Universal Freemasonry, says in his book Morals and Dogma of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite:

Man descended from the elemental Forces or Titans [Elohim], who fed on the body of the Pantheistic Deity creating the Universe by self-sacrifice, commemorates in sacramental observance this mysterious passion; and while partaking of the raw flesh of the victim, seems to be invigorated by a fresh draught from the fountain of universal life, to receive a new pledge of regenerated existence. Death is the inseparable antecedent of life; the seed dies in order to produce the plant, and earth itself is rent asunder and dies at the birth of Dionusos. Hence the significancy of the phallus, or of its inoffensive substitute, the obelisk, rising as an emblem of resurrection by the tomb of buried Deity at Lerna or at Sais.”  (Morals and Dogma, page 393, 1872)

Who is Dionusos or Dionysus?

“And in this sense, as presiding over live and death, Dionusos is in the highest sense the LIBERTATOR: since, like Osiris, he frees the soul and guides it in its migrations beyond the grave, preserving it from the risk of falling under the slavery of matter or some inferior animal form…” (Morals and Dogma, page 393, 1872) Bolds added

If the obelisk was a pillar used for Sun Worship and an emblem for Osiris or Dionusos (Lucifer or Satan), then why are some “Christian” denominations incorporating these pagan symbols as part of their temples? Why are some of their leaders, founders or “prophets” buried under this pillar? Have they forgotten God’s instruction to destroy these images? Why are we allowing these denominations to teach us the gospel anyway?

These phallic symbols represent the spreading of the seed of the serpent. They mark cities, plazas, governments and, sadly, they also mark the religious system. In Genesis 3:15 God said he would keep his seed from mixing with the seed of the serpent. Therefore, if you are a true son of God with faith in His Son Jesus Christ, I must warn you to stay away from these images and from any of the systems that make use of them.

If you were not aware of the presence of these pillars in your temple or the religious institution that you follow, now you are, and from now on if you continue to bow down and to worship in their presence, it will not count as ignorance anymore. Remember, God cannot be found through temples, structures or buildings. That is idolatry. The true worship must be done in spirit (John 6:20-24).

But it was Solomon who built the house for him. ’However, the Most High does not live in houses made by men. As the prophet says: “‘Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house will you build for me? says the Lord. Or where will my resting place be? Has not my hand made all these things?’ “You stiff-necked people, with uncircumcised hearts and ears! You are just like your fathers: You always resist the Holy Spirit!” (Acts 7: 47-51 NIV 1984)

Have you ever wondered what Jesus meant when He said the following statement?

“When you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel, let the reader understand, then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.” (Matthew 24:15 niv 1984)

If we take a serious look at the book of Daniel and the book of Maccabees (Apocrypha), then compare it to historical reliable sources, we might realize that the crux of the matter is and has always been clearly in front of our eyes. Now, in order to do a well balanced research on this topic we must stay away from all religious denominational propaganda.

The book of Daniel provides the key with a few clues that complement each other.

• Antiochus IV Epiphanes steals the treasures and desecrates the temple
• The daily sacrifice is abolished
• The abomination that causes desolation is set up
• The time lapse of the events of 1290 or 3 and a half years

Antiochus IV Epiphanes coin

Antiochus IV Epiphanes (c. 215 B.C. – 163 B.C., reigned 175B.C.E. – 163 B.C.E.), originally named Mithradates, but later renamed Antiochus, was one of the Seleucid emperors, son of Antiochus III the Great (224 – 187 B.C.). (see New World Encycopedia, Article on Antiochus IV Epiphanes). Other accounts like place the death of Antiochus IV in the year 164 B.C.E. (See Jewish Encyclopedia article on Antiouchus IV Epiphanes)

I. The book of Maccabees describes how Antiochus IV Epiphanes enters the temple and steal the treasures

“In the year 143, after the conquest of Egypt, Antiochus marched with a great army against the land of Israel and the city of Jerusalem. In his arrogance, he entered the Temple and took away the gold altar, the lampstand with all its equipment, the table for the bread offered to the Lord, the cups and bowls, the gold fire pans, the curtain, and the crowns. He also stripped all the gold from the front of the Temple and carried off the silver and gold and everything else of value, including all the treasures that he could find stored there. Then he took it all to his own country. He had also murdered many people and boasted arrogantly about it. There was great mourning everywhere in the land of Israel.” (1 Maccabees 1:20-25)

Note: The year (143) that 1 Maccabees 1:20-25 talks about would be the equivalent in our modern calendar to (Nov.-Dec. 25, 168 B.C.) (See Jewish Encyclopedia on Antiochus IV., Epiphanes)

Compare to Daniel

“Without warning he shall come into the richest parts of the province, and he shall do what neither his fathers nor his fathers’ fathers have done, scattering among them plunder, spoil, and goods.” (Daniel11:24 ESV)

“He shall honor the god of fortresses instead of these. A god whom his fathers did not know he shall honor with gold and silver, with precious stones and costly gifts.” (Daniel 11:38 ESV)

THE DESECRATION OF THE TEMPLE BY ANTIOCHUS IV EPIPHANES

II. Antiochus IV issues a decree forcing them to stop the burnt offering or daily sacrifice and seduce many to accept his decree.

• “Antiochus now issued a decree that all nations in his empire should abandon their own customs and become one people. All the Gentiles and even many of the Israelites submitted to this decree. They adopted the official pagan religion, offered sacrifices to idols, and no longer observed the Sabbath. The king also sent messengers with a decree to Jerusalem and all the towns of Judea, ordering the people to follow customs that were foreign to the country. He ordered them not to offer burnt offerings, grain offerings, or wine offerings in the Temple, and commanded them to treat Sabbaths and festivals as ordinary work days.” (1 Maccabees 1:40-45)
• “Shortly afterwards, the king sent Gerontes the Athenian to force the Jews to violate their ancestral customs and live no longer by the laws of God; and to profane the Temple in Jerusalem…” (2 Maccabees 6:2) 

Compare to Daniel prophecy of the little horn

•  Out of one of them came another horn, which started small but grew in power to the south and to the east and toward the Beautiful Land. It grew until it reached the host of the heavens, and it threw some of the starry host down to the earth and trampled on them. It set itself up to be as great as the Prince of the host; it took away the daily sacrifice from him, and the place of his sanctuary was brought low. (Daniel 8:9-12 niv 1984)
• “Forces from him shall appear and profane the temple and fortress, and shall take away the regular burnt offering. And they shall set up the abomination that makes desolate. He shall seduce with flattery those who violate the covenant, but the people who know their God shall stand firm and take action. (Daniel 11:31-32 ESV)

Note: Some versions like (KJV and NIV) use the term “daily sacrifice”. Other versions like (ESV and ASV) use the term “burnt offering”.

The Amplified Bible reads:

And armed forces of his shall appear [in the holy land] and they shall pollute the sanctuary, the [spiritual] stronghold, and shall take away the continual [daily burnt offering]; and they shall set up [in the sanctuary] the abomination that astonishes and makes desolate [probably an altar to a pagan god].” (Daniel 11:31 Amplified Bible)

The Nelson’s Compact Bible Commentary describes briefly how Antiochus defiled the sanctuary (Daniel 11:31):

“Antiochus polluted the altar by offering a pig upon it. He declared the daily sacrifices and other Mosaic ceremonies illegal and committed an abomination of desolation by erecting an image of Zeus in the holy place (Daniel 9:27; 12:11), Jesus said a similar thing would happen just prior to His return (see Matthew 24:15).” (Nelson’t Compact Bible Commentary, p 604, 2007)

FLAVIUS JOSEPHUS (37 A.D.-100)

Flavius Josephus (37 A.D. – 100), a first-century Jewish historian explains how Antiochus IV king of Syria with the help of some corrupted Jewish priests forced the daily sacrifices to stop and puts in place unholy sacrifices to foreign gods.

Now Antiochus was not satisfied either with his unexpected taking the city, or with its pillage, or with the great slaughter he had made there; but being overcome with his violent passions, and remembering what he had suffered during the siege, he compelled the Jews to dissolve the laws of their country, and to keep their infants uncircumcised, and to sacrifice swine’s flesh upon the altar.”  (The Works of Flavius Josephus, Wars of the Jews, book I. ch. 1. sect 2) Bolds added

“He also built another altar, and began to offer the sacrifices; and when the city had already received its sacred constitution again, Antiochus died; whose son Antiochus succeeded him in the kingdom, and in his hatred to the Jews also.” (The Works of Flavius Josephus, Wars of the Jews, book I. ch. 1. sect 3)

III. Antiochus IV sets up the abomination the causes desolation

1 Maccabees 1:54

On the fifteenth day of Chislev in the year 145 the king built the appalling abomination on top of the altar of burnt offering; and altars were built in the surrounding towns of Judah and incense offered at the doors of houses and in the streets.” (1 Maccabees 1:54)

Compare to Daniel 11:31

Forces from him shall appear and profane the temple and fortress, and shall take away the regular burnt offering. And they shall set up the abomination that makes desolate. (Daniel 11:31 ESV)

What was this abomination of desolation?

“Shortly afterwards, the king sent Gerontes the Athenian to force the Jews to violate their ancestral customs and live no longer by the laws of God; and to profane the Temple in Jerusalem and dedicate it to Olympian Zeus, and the one on Mount Gerizim to Zeus, Patron of Strangers, as the inhabitants of the latter place had requested. (2 Maccabees 6:2)

Antiochus IV Epiphanes erects an image of Zeus (Jupiter) on the temple altar for sacrifices.

The Jewish Encyclopedia expands on what this abomination was:

On Kislew (Nov.-Dec.) 25, 168, the “abomination of desolation” (, Dan. xi. 31, xii. 11) was set up on the altar of burnt offering in the Temple, and the Jews required to make obeisance to it. This was probably the Olympian Zeus, or Baal Shamem.” (Jewish Encyclopedia on Antiochus IV., Epiphanes) Bolds added

“The rabbis as a whole consider that the expression  refers to the desecration of the Temple by the erection of a Zeus statue in its sacred precincts by Antiochus Epiphanes (see Apostemos). (Jewish Encyclopedia article on Abomiantion that causes desolation) Bolds added

New World Encyclopedia also explains how Antiochus IV desecrated the temple and lifted up an image of Zeus for ofering animal sacrifices.

In 168 B.C.E. or 169 B.C.E. Antiochus marched to Jerusalem, slew Jason (last of the Zadokite High Priests) and dedicated the Temple to Zeus, erecting an image of Zeus in his own likeness on the altar, and, according to some sources, sacrificed a pig in the Temple. This is known to Jews as the ‘great desecration’ or ‘abomination of desecration’ (from Daniel 11: 31 & 12: 11).” (See New World Encyclopedia article on Antiochus IV Epiphanes) Bolds added

The book of Maccabees chapter 2 elaborates with plenty of details on the events that took place during that time.

“But not long after the king sent a certain old man of Antioch, to compel the Jews to depart from the laws of their fathers and of God: And to defile the temple that was in Jerusalem, and to call it the temple of Jupiter Olympius: and that in Gazarim of Jupiter Hospitalis, according as they were that inhabited the place. And very bad was this invasion of evils, and grievous to all. For the temple was full of the riot and revellings of the Gentiles: and of men lying with lewd women. And women thrust themselves of their accord into the holy places, and brought in things that were not lawful.” (2 Maccabees 6:1-4)

Note: According to the New World Encyclopedia and Wikipedia online, In ancient Roman religion and myth, Jupiter is the king of the gods and also the god of thunder. Jupiter is the equivalent of Zeus in the Greek pantheon. (See New World Encyclopedia article on Jupiter mythology and Wikipedia article on Jupiter mythology).

Antiochus IV Death:

The exact reason for the death of Antiochus IV remains a mystery. Some say he that was assassinated with poison but most of the historical reliable data available only says that he suddenly became ill and died.

In autumn 164 BC Antiouchus encountered resistance in Elymais when he tried to rob a local temple of Artemis. He withdrew from the region, but turned ill and died.” (T. Boiy, Late Achaemenid and Hellenistic Babylon, p. 163, 2006)

Compare Daniel 8:25 to 1 Maccabees 6:

“He will cause deceit to prosper, and he will consider himself superior. When they feel secure, he will destroy many and take his stand against the Prince of princes. Yet he will be destroyed, but not by human power.” (Daniel 8:25 niv 1984)

But, while he was still in Persia, news reached him that the armies which had invaded Judaea had been routed, and that Lysias in particular had advanced in massive strength, only to be forced to turn and flee before the Jews; that the latter were now stronger than ever, thanks to the arms, supplies and abundant spoils acquired from the armies they had cut to pieces, and that they had pulled down the abomination which he had erected on the altar in Jerusalem, had encircled the sanctuary with high walls as in the past, and had fortified Beth-Zur, one of his cities. When the king heard this news he was amazed and profoundly shaken; he threw himself on his bed and fell sick with grief, since things had not turned out for him as he had planned. And there he remained for many days, subject to deep and recurrent fits of melancholy, until he realised that he was dying.” (1 Maccabees 6:5-9) Bolds added

IV. Time lapse of 1290 days or three and a half years

Daniel 12:11

“From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days.” (Daniel 12:11 niv 1984)

Flavius Josephus (37 A.D. – 100),  interestingly takes the time to make emphasis and explains that the event lasted for around three and a half years which is approximately 1,290 days.

He also spoiled the temple, and put a stop to the constant practice of offering a daily sacrifice of expiation for three years and six months.” (The Works of Flavius Josephus, Wars of the Jews, book I. ch. 1. sect 1) Bolds added

The Matthew Henry Commentary on the Whole Bible expands on the subject:

“The event fixed from which the time of the trouble is to be dated, from the taking away of the daily sacrifice by Antiochus, and the setting up of the image of Jupiter upon the altar, which was the abomination of desolation…” “The continuance of their trouble; shall last 1290 days, three years and seven months, or (as some reckon) three years, six months, and fifteen days; and then, it is probable, the daily sacrifice was restore, and the abomination of desolation taken away, in remembrance of which the feast of dedication was observed even to our Savior’s time, John 10:22.” (Matthew Henry Commentary on the Whole Bible, p. 1156, 1991,2008) Bolds added

Conclusion

When you look at the facts, there are tow things that cannot be ignored. First, the book of Maccabees was written sometime in the second century before Christ. Second, the works of Flavius Josephus were written in the first century, sometime between the year 75 and 94 A.C. and his writings go hand to hand with the Bible.

How can we just ignore such history and replace it with modern religious charlatans and all their invented propaganda?

It is disturbing how some religions have customized their doctrines to create confusion about this and many other topics. With the help of their leaders they have spread all kinds of Gnostic invented teachings. In their lying agenda some cults have had the audacity to come up with fabricated evidence to hammer their own doctrines and make people believe that Daniel and Jesus were referring to the Pope and the Catholic Church. They have convinced many by teaching them that when the bibles says days, what God really meant was years. What are the man-made religion systems of the world trying to hide? Is there something out there they don’t want us to see?  Is that the reason why they have extracted the book of Maccabees from the Bible? Are they trying to hide such an important event because sooner or later this will take place again just as Jesus had warned us in Matthew 24:15?

What can we do about it?

We can either be realistic and look at the facts on our own, or we can just ignore the whole thing and submit ourselves to the fantasies of these false teachers. If we choose to be realistic and look at the facts, then we can conclude saying that the prophecy of the little horn in the Book of Daniel is already been fulfilled.

We are surrounded by symbols, from corporate logos and currency to religious institutions. Unfortunately, very few of us are aware of what they represent. It is important to remember that a symbol represents something more than itself. A symbol by itself is meaningless, it is the intent behind it what really matters. Symbols reveal and symbols conceal. They reveal to those who have eyes to see and ears to hear.

One of the most prominent, and yet deceptive aspects of freemasonry is its symbolism. This imagery, like the teaching and practices of the Order, was inherited directly from Freemasonry and is universally recognized. Its true significance is disguised beneath a thick veil of secrecy, mystery and deception; nevertheless, as we analyze the mystical nature of the symbolism employed within Freemasonry, it is not difficult to recognize its occult origins.

According to Occultists like Manly P. Hall, the secret power of freemasonry lies in its symbols:

The philosophic power of Freemasonry lies in its symbols, its priceless heritage form the Mystery schools of antiquity.” (Manly P. Hall, The Secret Teachings of All Ages, p.578, 2003, original edition 1928).

ALBERT PIKE

Albert Pike 1809-1891, Grand Commander of the Supreme Council of Charleston (head of American Masonry), and Sovereign Pontiff of Universal Freemasonry (head of world Masonry), expands in his book “Morals and Dogma” about the symbols in Freemasonry:

The symbols of the wise always become the idols of the ignorant multitude. What the Chiefs of the Order really believed and taught, is indicated to the Adepts by the hints contained in the high Degrees of Free-Masonry, and by the symbols which only the Adepts understand.” (Albert Pike, Morals and Dogma of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Charleston, A.M. 5632, p. 819)

According to Cutting Edge Ministries, the power of occult symbols does not dissipate, but increases, when the uninitiated remain ignorant of their esoteric meaning.

Occultists the world over believe that, once a symbol is created, it acquires power of its own, and more power is generated when such symbol(s) are created without the profane [uninitiated] knowing about it. And, the greatest power of all is created in the symbol(s) if the uninitiated NEVER discover that the symbol exists…

All occult symbolism is in fact dualistic in meaning or interpretation, in that, it has an exoteric or outward meaning (known to the masses) and an esoteric or hidden meaning (known only to the elect few). Occultist Fredrick Goodman in his book ‘Magical Symbols’ (p. 6) explains:

The true magic symbol is an image which hides an inner meaning. This meaning is usually cunningly hidden behind a form which most people think they can understand immediately.” (Fredrick Goodman, Magic Symbols, p. 6)

As secret societies move forward they continue spreading their tentacles in every level of society including religion. They leave their occult footprints all around us and the easiest way to see it is in their symbols.

Throughout the centuries the Judaizers have tried to pervert the Gospel of Christ teaching man-made doctrines, mixing the old and the new covenant and forcing gentiles to submit to rabbinical teachings. A clear example of this counterfeit Gospel can be seen infiltrating the ranks of early Christianity in the epistle of Acts chapter 15.

Some men came down from Judea to Antioch and were teaching the brothers: “Unless you are circumcised, according to the custom taught by Moses, you cannot be saved.” This brought Paul and Barnabas into sharp dispute and debate with them. So Paul and Barnabas were appointed, along with some other believers, to go up to Jerusalem to see the apostles and elders about this question”. (Acts 15: 1-2 niv 1984)

In the next few verses we can see how these Judaizers began to do their job by throwing the gentiles back into the yoke of slavery of the man-made religious system of power and control.

“Then some of the believers who belonged to the party of the Pharisees stood up and said, ‘The Gentiles must be circumcised and required to obey the law of Moses’.”

“The apostles and elders met to consider this question. After much discussion, Peter got up and addressed them: “Brothers, you know that some time ago God made a choice among you that the Gentiles might hear from my lips the message of the gospel and believe. God, who knows the heart, showed that he accepted them by giving the Holy Spirit to them, just as he did to us. He made no distinction between us and them, for he purified their hearts by faith. Now then, why do you try to test God by putting on the necks of the disciples a yoke that neither we nor our fathers have been able to bear? No! We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are.” (Acts 15:6-11 niv 1984) Bolds added

It is very alarming to see how today modern Judaizers continue doing their job of perversion using lies and confusion to teach about a counterfeit seal of God called “Sabbath” or “Saturday”.

What is the true seal of God according to the Bible?

God puts his “seal of ownership” on those who believe in Christ Jesus and have faith in His promises. God did not say keep the Sabbath and I will seal you.

“And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.” (Ephesians 1:13,14 NIV):

“Now it is God who makes both, us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit guaranteeing what is to come”. (2 Corinthians 1:21,22 NIV)

“And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.” (Ephesians: 4:30 NIV)

Please note that Sabbath is NEVER called a SEAL, neither in the Old Covenant nor in the New one. The Sabbath was A SIGN for the Israelites NOT A SEAL.

Sabbath keeping will never entitle anyone to receive the SEAL OF GOD. The Seal of ownership is the Son and the Father’s name written in the forehead, not the Sabbath!

Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads.” (Revelations 14:1 NIV)

Was the Sabbath ever called a seal in the Bible? No

It will be a sign between me and the Israelites forever, for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he rested and was refreshed.” (Exodus. 31:17 NIV)

“Also I gave them my Sabbaths as a sign between us, so they would know that I the LORD made them holy.” (Ezekiel. 20:12 NVI)

Is the Sabbath a requirement for the nations? No

Today many religions and cults identify “The Architect of the Universe” as the God of Christianity. But is this “Architect” the true God of Abraham? And if he is, why isn’t he mentioned in the Bible? Neither the prophets nor the Apostles ever used that name to refer to God. Let us review the historical background and origins of such mysterious name.

John Calvin (1509-1564) a french theologian who developed the system of Christian theology later called Calvinism, was one of the first well known “Christians” to ever used the name “The Architect of the Universe” to refer to God.

“John Calvin, in his Institutes of the Christian Religion (1536), repeatedly calls the Christian God “the Architect of the Universe”, also referring to his works as “Architecture of the Universe”, and in his commentary on Psalm 19 refers to the Christian God as the ‘Great Architect’ or ‘Architect of the Universe’.” (Wikipedia article on the Great Architect of the Universe) Bolds added by blog.

According to some accounts, John Calvin was a Jewish infiltrator who changed his name in order to divide Christianity and create confusion. It is a fact that most of the ecumenical movements today base their doctrines on Calvinism. It is also interesting to see that most of these religions with Calvinist roots are not only the modern Judaizers of the gospel but they also spend considerable amount of time preaching Zionism.

Contrary to general belief, Calvinism is of Jewish origin. It was deliberately conceived to split the adherents of the Christian religions and divide the people. Calvin’s real name was Cohen! When he went from Geneva to France to start preaching his doctrine he became known as Cauin. Then in England it became Calvin. History proves that there is hardly a revolutionary plot that wasn’t hatched in Switzerland; there is hardly a Jewish revolutionary leader who hasn’t changed his name. 

At B’nai B’rith celebrations held in Paris, France, in 1936 Cohen, Cauvin, or Calvin, whatever his name may have been, was enthusiastically acclaimed to have been of Jewish descent.” (The Catholic Gazette, February, 1936).

The B’nai B’rith according to the Jewish Encyclopedia:

“The B’nai B’rith, or Sons of The Covenant is the largest and oldest Jewish fraternal organization. It has (1902) a membership of about 30,000, divided into more than 330 lodges and 10 grand lodges, distributed over the United States, Germany, Rumania, Austria-Hungary, Egypt, and Palestine. It was founded in New York in 1843 by a number of German Jews, headed by Henry Jones, for the purpose of instilling the principles of morality among the followers of the Mosaic faith—uniting them on a platform upon which all could stand regardless of dogma and ceremonial custom—and of inculcating charity, benevolence, and brotherly love as the highest virtues.” (See Jewish Encyclopedia article on B’nai B’rith)

Freemasonry and Secret Societies

In the Book “Occult Theocrasy”, Edith Starr Miller talks about the importance of the date Sept. 20, 1870 as the date that Freemasonry adopted officially the term of the “Great Architect of the Universe” as their divinity.

The date of Sept. 20, 1870, is not only an Italian date, it is above all a great masonic date, for it marks the organization of a supreme rite, introduced into Freemasonry, to lend a satanic character to the vague divinity more or less well known by the name of ‘The great Architect of the Universe’.” (Edith Starr Miller, Occult Theocrasy, pp. 207-208, 1933)

EDMOND RONAYNE

The God of Freemasonry is the pantheistic god of nature. Former Mason Edmond Ronayne stated about the “G.A.O.T.U.” (Great Architect of the Universe):

Freemasonry ‘carefully excludes’ the Lord Jesus Christ from the lodge and chapter, repudiates His mediatorship, rejects his atonement, denies and disowns His gospel, frowns upon his religion and his church, ignores the Holy Spirit, and sets up for itself a spiritual empire, a religious theocracy, at the head of which it places the G.A.O.T.U. -the god of nature- and from which the only living true God is expelled by resolution.” (Former Mason – Edmond Ronayne, The Master’s Carpet or Masonry and Baal-Worship-Identical, pg. 87, 1887)

Later in the same book he continue talking about the G.A.O.T.U. or (Great Architect of the Universe):

“The Lodge room then has brought us a symbol of the universe, governed by the Sun God, and it’s cubicle form expressed in the language of the ritual is made to represent the united power of light and darkness, and the constant conflict which is supposed to be always going on between them. In other words the lodge room is the real heaven (in miniature), where the god of nature G.A.O.T.U. always presides, where his symbol is always displayed, where his worship is always practiced.” (Edmond Ronayne, The Master’s Carpet or Masonry and Baal-Worship-Identical, pp. 301-302, 1887) Bolds added.

The Great Architect of the Universe (also Grand Architect of the Universe or Supreme Architect of the Universe) is a conception of God discussed by many Christian theologians and apologists. As a designation it is used within Freemasonry to neutrally represent whatever Supreme Being to which each member individually holds in adherence. It is also a Rosicrucian conception of God, as expressed by Max Heindel. Albert Pike, Sovereign Pontiff of Universal Freemasonry and Guiseppe Mazzini, Sovereign Chief of Political Action made an alliance and founded what was called the New and Reformend Palladian Rite. This new Palladian or Palladium Rite would control and be the head of the Universal Freemasonry. Edith Starr Miller explains how these Freemasons used in their dogmas for the Palladium Rite what we know today as the theology of inversion:

…Palladism is essentially a Luciferian rite. Its religion is Manichean new-gnosticism, teaching that the divinity is dual and that Lucifer is the equal of Adonay, with Lucifer, the God of Light and goodness struggling for humanity against Adonay the God of Darkness and Evil. The Architect of the Universe – Demiurge

The word means literally a public worker, demioergós, demiourgós, and was originally used to designate any craftsman plying his craft or trade for the use of the public. Soon, however, technítes and other words began to be used to designate the common artisan while demiurge was set aside for the Great Artificer or Fabricator, the Architect of the universe.

According to the Catholic Encyclopedia the Supreme God, Demiurge became a common term in Gnosticism.

The Gnostics, however, were not satisfied merely to emphasize the distinction between the Supreme God, or God the Father, and the Demiurge, but in many of their systems they conceived the relation of the Demiurge to the Supreme God as one of actual antagonism, and the Demiurge became the personification of the power of evil, the Satan of Gnosticism, with whom the faithful had to wage war to the end that they might be pleasing to the Good God. The Gnostic Demiurge then assumes a surprising likeness to Ahriman, the evil counter-creator of Ormuzd in Mazdean philosophy.” (ibid., New Advent)

Henry Wallace, 33rd Vice President of the United States and also a prominent mason wrote about the significance of the Great Seal:

It will take a more definite recognition of the Grand Architect of the Universe before the apex stone [capstone of the pyramid] is finally fitted into place and this nation in the full strength of its power is in position to assume leadership among the nations in inaugurating ‘the New Order of the Ages’.” (Wallace, Henry A., 1934. Statesmanship and Religion. New York, USA: Round Table Press, Inc, pp 78-79.)

According to Henry Wallace, in a letter dated February 6, 1951, and a follow-up letter of 1955, he was very impressed when he saw the Latin phrase “Novus Ordo Seclorum”. This is how he describes it in his letter:

In 1934 when I was Sec. of Agriculture I was waiting in the outer office of Secretary [of State Cordell] Hull and as I waited I amused myself by picking up a State Department publication which was on a stand there entitled, “The History of the Seal of the United States”. Turning to page 53 I noted the colored reproduction of the reverse side of the Seal. The Latin phrase Novus Ordo Seclorum impressed me as meaning the New Deal of the Ages. Therefore I took the publication to President Rossevelt and suggested a coin be put out with the obverse and reverse sides of the Seal. Roosevelt as he looked at [the] colored reproduction of the Seal was first struck with the representation of the “All-Seeing Eye“, a Masonic representation of The Great Architect of the Universe.

Next he was impressed with the idea that the foundation of the new order of the ages had been laid in 1776 but that it would be completed only under the eye of the Great Architect. Roosevelt like myself was a 32nd degree Mason. He suggested that the Seal be put out on the dollar bill rather than a coin and took the matter up with the Secretary of the Treasury. When the first draft came back from the Treasury the obverse side was on the left of the bill as is the heraldic practice. Roosevelt insisted that the order be reversed so that the phrase “of the United States” would be under the obverse side of the Seal. Many modern cults in America, specially the ones founded by self appointed prophets and teachers like Joseph Smith, Ellen G. White, Charles T. Russell, William Miller, etc., are known for teaching their followers to accept all sorts of Masonic names when referring to God. These false prophets were using in their writings all sorts of strange names most likely borrowed from Gnosticism or Freemasonry. Some of them were; the Great Architect, Divine Architect, Angelic Architect, Great Builder, Great Master Architect, Heavenly Architect, Supreme Architect, the All-Seeing Eye, the Holy Watcher, etc…

As true Christians we must pay attention and not let these false teachers deceive us with their babbling.

But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.” (2 Peter 2:1-3 NIV)

Do you really think that the true God of the Bible designed all of this mess? This crippled creation that we’re living in was not what God had planned for us. It was not meant to be this way. His true creation was perfect and much more different than what our eyes can really see and our minds can conceive, but once Satan took over God’s creation he decided to redesign it his way. Lucifer or Satan is the true designer of this world and everything we see around like decadence, death, sin, pestilence, famine, sickness, war and destruction is the product of his own personal architectural design.

Moloch (also known as Molech, Molek, or Melech) most of the time represented by an owl, was an ancient Near Eastern deity worshiped by several cultures. The Canaanites, Carthaginians, and Israelites were especially devoted to making human sacrifices, even burning newborns alive, depending upon the seriousness of the blessing desired. Molech was commonly worshiped in the mid-east in pre-New Testament times. Throughout history Molech has been depicted as a bull and sometimes even resembling a dog. The most common usage by secret societies in modern times is the owl representing esoteric wisdom.  The worship of Moloch is not only limited to ancient times.  Today we can still see it all around our modern society including government, religions, corporations and financial institutions.

Molech is mentioned in the Bible as one of the many common pagan gods worshiped by the Israelites. (1 Kings 11:7) and  (Acts 7:43)

Moloch According to the Jewish Encyclopedia:

“In the Masoretic text the name is “Molech”; in the Septuagint “Moloch.” The earliest mention of Molech is in Lev. xviii. 21, where the Israelite is forbidden to sacrifice any of his children to Molech. Similarly, in Lev. xx. 2-5, it is enacted that a man who sacrifices his seed to Molech shall surely be put to death. Then, curiously, it is provided that he shall be cut off from the congregation. In I Kings xi. 7 it is said that Solomon built a high place for Molech in the mountain “that is before Jerusalem.” The same passage calls Molech an Ammonite deity. The Septuagint as quoted in the New Testament (Acts vii. 43) finds a reference to Moloch in Amos v. 26; but this is a doubtful passage. The names derived from combining the consonants of the Hebrew melech (“king”) with the vowels of boshet (“Shame”), the later often being used in the old testament as a variant name for the popular god Baal.”

There is no record of how many were made, and only three are known to exist: one in a private collection in Ansbach, Germany; one in a private American collection; and one in the Deutsches Freimaurermuseum Bayreuth. Lilith (Queen of the Demons) Dated 2000-1700 BC

The Symbolism of the Lilith (Divine Lady Owl) was used by the Sumerians and the Babylonians. The “Lilith” is only mention once in the Hebrew Bible in Isaiah 34:13-14 JPS Hebrew Tanak. In the King James Version is actually mentioned as “screech owl, great owl”.

Wildcats shall meet hyenas, Goat-demons shall greet each other: There too the lilith shall repose And find herself a resting place.” (Isaiah 34:14 JPS Hebrew Tanak)

“And thorns shall come up in her palaces, nettles and brambles in the fortresses thereof: and it shall be an habitation of dragons, and a court for owls. The wild beasts of the desert shall also meet with the wild beasts of the island, and the satyr shall cry to his fellow; the screech owl also shall rest there, and find for herself a place of rest. There shall the great owl make her nest, and lay, and hatch, and gather under her shadow: there shall the vultures also be gathered, every one with her mate.” (Isaiah 34:13-15 KJV) Bolds added

According to Baring and Cashford, the Lilith was known as a goddess “Divine Lady Owl” or some kind of Queen of Heaven:

“The Sumerian word for owl is ninna and the name Nin-ninna given to the goddess in her owl form meant ‘Divine Lady Owl‘. The ancient texts also give the Akkadian word kilili for Nin-ninna, and this name was one shared by Innana and Ishtar. Perhaps kilili is the original derivation of Lilith, who, much later, in biblical times, is called ‘night-owl or screech-owl’.” (Baring and Cashford, The Myth of the Goddess, 1991) Bolds added

What is Humanism?

According to the Institute of Humanist Studies:

The Human Manifesto

Humanist Manifesto is the title of three manifestos laying out a Humanist worldview. They are the original Humanist Manifesto (1933, often referred to as Humanist Manifesto I), the Humanist Manifesto II (1973), and Humanism and Its Aspirations (2003, a.k.a. Humanist Manifesto III). The central theme of all three manifestos is the elaboration of a philosophy and value system which does not necessarily include belief in any personal deity or “higher power”, although the three differ considerably in their tone, form, and ambition. (See American Human Association, Article on Human Manifesto I), and (Wikepedia article in Human Manifesto)

Human Manifesto III

This Manifesto is the successor of the Human Manifesto of 1933 and it was published by on 2003 by the American Humanist Association. This more recent Manifesto once again excludes God from its humanistics beliefs.

• Knowledge of the world is derived by observation, experimentation, and rational analysis.
• Humans are an integral part of nature, the result of unguided evolutionary change.
• Ethical values are derived from human need and interest as tested by experience.
• Life’s fulfillment emerges from individual participation in the service of humane ideals.
• Humans are social by nature and find meaning in relationships.
• Working to benefit society maximizes individual happiness.

Obviously it is all about human realization without the Deity of God. According to the Manifesto, there is no one higher than yourself and everything in life can be fulfilled by the individual without the need or intervention of God. In other words, you can become a “Happy Human” without God.

Why are Christians taking part of this Antichrist New Age Movement? As Christians, what should we do?

True Christians are not supposed to take part of the spiritual prostitution of the world. In fact, we should be paying close attention to this type of activity. Look carefully and you will see how all kinds of symbols have been adopted lately into many religious denominations. Jesus followers should not identify themselves with these sorts of marks for they have an occult meaning and their usage does not come from scripture. Humanism is a Luciferian doctrine, a satanic Antichrist philosophy.

Lets see what the Bible says about these deceptive philosophies:

• Colossians 2:8 (NVI): “See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ”.

• 2 Peter 2:1-3 (NVI): “But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves.  Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute.  In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping”.

Conclusion: Can you see what all these religious denominations have in common? All of them have been marked by a symbol of disbelief and Atheism. Open your eyes and look around you. The time has come. Get out of Babylon before it’s too late! Wake up!

Editor’s Note: This May, IHS Executive Director Matt Cherry was elected president of the United Nations NGO Committee of Freedom of Religion or Belief. He is the first humanist appointed to the position.

In July, Cherry broke the faith line in the Albany Times Union ”Religion” section when he published a column about his role at the UN. According to the Religion Page Editor, Cherry is the first humanist the newspaper solicited to write a column for its “Voices of Faith” section.

An atheist, a Jew, a Hindu and a Christian walk into a room together. This sounds like the start of a joke, but it’s actually a description of what I do at the United Nations every month.

As president of the Non-Governmental Organizations Committee on Freedom of Religion or Belief, I work within the U.N. system to promote and defend international agreements protecting freedom of conscience. I am a humanist and represent the International Humanist and Ethical Union at the United Nations. The other members of the committee’s governing board are representatives of Orthodox Christian, Hindu, Unitarian, Jewish, Methodist and Seventh Day Adventist organizations.

Freedom of conscience, to believe or not to believe, as a person chooses is a fundamental human right. Article 18 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states: “Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance.”

Subsequent U.N. agreements expanded on Article 18, culminating with the 1981 Declaration on the Elimination of All Forms of Intolerance and of Discrimination Based on Religion or Belief. These international agreements protect the freedom of nonreligious belief equally with the freedom of religious belief, the freedom of religion equally with the freedom from religion. Or to spell it out in the words of the United Nations: these rights “protect theistic, nontheistic and atheistic beliefs, as well as the right not to profess any religion or belief.” As a humanist, I profess nontheistic beliefs. I do not believe in God or the supernatural. But I do believe in ethics based on reason and compassion. I also share with religious thinkers a sense that the fundamental questions of existence — such as “What is the nature of the universe?” and “How should I live my life?” — are of the greatest importance. As the United Nations’ 1981 declaration on religion or belief states, “Religion or belief, for anyone who professes either, is one of the fundamental elements in his conception of life.” Unfortunately, it is widely assumed that if you are nonreligious you must be anti-religious. Like most nonreligious people, I am not afraid to criticize religious beliefs that I think are wrongheaded or harmful, but that does not make me anti-religious. I respect and defend the right of people to hold religious beliefs.

In fact, I value the diversity of beliefs as a positive value. Humanists do not believe the one, final, absolute truth has been revealed to them. On the contrary, we think that all beliefs should be open to revision in the light of new evidence. Free inquiry is thus essential to the process of discovering reality and gaining insight about our own human experience. Humanists value tolerance and diversity as beneficial qualities in society. We don’t just put up with different viewpoints because we have to; we believe that dialogue between different viewpoints can lead to progress in understanding that benefits everyone. Today is an exciting time for freedom of religion or belief. Since the fall of the Soviet bloc, hundreds of millions more people are free to follow their conscience. Human rights abuses are still severe in the communist countries that survive, but the new focus of concern is the Middle East and Central Asia. Fundamentalist forms of political Islam are totally opposed to freedom of religion. For example, converting to a different belief system is punishable by death in countries such as Iran and Saudi Arabia. In addition to monitoring government oppression, the NGO Committee on Freedom of Religion or Belief works to advance tolerance and understanding. The committee, of which I was chosen president in May after serving two years as its secretary, is working with U.N. agencies, educators and governments throughout the world to develop public school curricula that promote a culture of tolerance for different religions and beliefs.

In looking at the global picture, we should never forget that progress in human rights must be made in individual consciences as well as in courts and legislatures. And while an atheist, a Jew, a Christian and a Hindu meeting together may sound like the start of a joke, such meetings are actually the start of progress toward freedom of conscience for all members of the human family.
